Humor blogs are dangerous! (When reporters try to quote from them.) Wondering why you didn’t hear that a Romney spokesperson said of McCain, “Why don’t you go cry about torture some more, old man. When we’re in charge, we’re going to nonlethally stress the hell out of you in Gitmo #15“?? I’ll give you hint: it was a joke! In fairness to Susan Erstrich, who tried to use the quote in a REAL news article, it was nefariously embedded in a joke website full of funny jokes. In case you were wondering, the Onion is also not a real news outlet.

This guy knows tantrums. Minor league manager Phillip Wellman may have had a problem with the ump kicking his pitcher out of the game this weekend. What I want to know is, was the smooth soul music playing at the stadium during the tantrum, or did someone add that to the YouTube video for our viewing enjoyment? Either way, it adds a certain je ne sais quoi.
